So thousands of gays hit the streets of L.A., pissed off about Prop 8, which reversed a ruling giving gays the right to same-sex marriage. They've been seen venting their rage at white churches - but, oddly, not the black ones.

I say "oddly" because 78 percent of blacks are Protestant, and a large majority oppose gay marriage. For most of them, homosexuality is a sin. I don't agree, but then again, I'm a heathen who once purchased an adjustable bed for recreational reasons.

The fact is, gays aren't picketing black churches because that would be hard, and scary. Any moron who remembers Eddy Murphy's stand-up routine knows that blacks haven't always been sympathetic toward gay causes. They probably also don't enjoy comparisons between their civil rights crusade, and gays not being allowed to marry. Yeah, I know gays have been treated like crap over the years - but they were never slaves - unless it was requested in a Craigslist ad.

So maybe instead of marching down Sunset on a Sunday, gays should hit the churches, community meetings and the like to promote their cause. It's what decent folk do. And remember, it was the gay commander in chief, David Geffen, who helped picked Obama after the 2004 Democrat Convention speech. And it was Obama's primary supporters who voted for prop 8. So maybe it's Geffen, not the Mormons, who should get the blame.

Lastly, although I don't give two poops about the right to marry - I wonder why they'd want it. Seriously - you're called gay for a reason. You get to leave the toilet seat up whenever you want.
