So an ucoming episode of the FX drama "Rescue Me" is doing a show about 9/11 being an "inside job." The actor who pukes the theories on camera, Daniel Sunjata, actually supports the crap "100 percent."
"They`re not discussed a lot in the press," he says of the theories, in between fits of feverish masturbation.
That`s idiotic to begin with, but that`s not what really pisses me off.
I just hate how the media treats those who excrete such theories – as though they`re doing something risky - linking themselves to such so-called dangerous ideas. A dude named, Peter Tolan, executive producer of the show, actually defends Sunjata as "well read," saying he`s "done a lot of research." And, of course, it`s awesome that "he`s passionate about it." See, if you feel strongly about something, then it`s okay if you're wrong. Just ask Mark David Chapman.
But you have to remind yourself that actors who spew this crap are doing it solely for their own insatiable egos. It makes them feel smart and important, because for once they believe in something that`s "socio-politically provocative," as the airhead Sunjata claims. Never mind that it`s an insidious insult to the victims of the tragedy – as it is to the rest of us, who may or may not be guilty, according to Sunjata`s theories.
What is that theory, exactly? Well, in the show Sunjata`s character rails against a "neoconservative government effort" behind a "pre-emptive attack," something the actor really believes. So basically he`s accusing a large group of Americans of killing a larger group of Americans. It`s the equivalent of saying Jews were behind the Holocaust – which Sunjata would probably believe too, if it were the 1940`s.
He`d make an awesome Nazi.
